A Real Shop, Run by People Who Build

Our Story

Mike and Clint worked side by side for about six years before deciding, a couple of years ago, to go into business together. Between the two of them they had CNC machining and fabrication covered — and that combination made them uniquely qualified to run an all-in-one metal shop, able to take on work that a fab-only shop or a CNC-only shop can’t. That’s how MEC Manufacturing was born.

Then we hired our longtime friend and former coworker Eric as head of sales — and with Mike, Eric and Clint all on board, the name MEC took on a whole new meaning.

About a year later we bought R.E.L.L. Corporation, a manufacturer we’d already been running behind the scenes for the previous year. And this year, after writing upgrades to our own company time clock, we branched out into software with 60Ticks, our line of time-saving shop software.

We’re a 15,000 square foot company working out of a 6,000 square foot building — in other words, we’ve outgrown the place. Our work runs from precision CNC parts and waterjet cutting to structural fabrication, municipal risers and complete Jr Dragster chassis.

Mike

Co-founder. Mike runs the CNC side of the shop.

Eric

Head of sales — a longtime friend and former coworker, and the person to talk to about your next quote.

Clint

Clint is a CAD designer who has personally owned three waterjets and run and maintained five. He’s been writing software for the shops he works in for more than 15 years — every tool started as a fix for a job that was eating our time on the shop floor.
